How to Get to the Three Cities
The Three Cities sit across the Grand Harbour from Valletta, on the southeastern side — you can see them clearly from Valletta’s Upper Barrakka Gardens. From Valletta: ferry around 10 minutes, taxi or Bolt 10–15 minutes, bus 20–30 minutes. From the cruise terminal in Valletta’s Grand Harbour: taxi to Birgu approx. 10 minutes, ferry plus a short walk approx. 15–20 minutes total, or an organised shore excursion of 2–3 hours. For cruise passengers with 4–6 hours in port, visiting is very manageable.
