The Game: Cowboys vs Eagles Preview
The Cowboys have hosted a Thanksgiving Day game almost every year since 1966, and this year’s opponent is their biggest divisional rival. The game caps a three-game home stretch that begins with the 49ers and Titans, so Dallas will have played its previous two games at AT&T Stadium too.
The Eagles began 2026 by beating the Commanders 24-22, with Jalen Hurts throwing three touchdown passes and no interceptions in a win that showed new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion’s offense already clicking. The rivalry started on September 30, 1960, when the Eagles won 27-25 in Dallas’s first season, and it has become one of the most intense in the NFL. The Cowboys lead 75-59 overall, though the Eagles have won some of the most memorable games, including a 44-6 victory in the 2008 regular-season finale.
The teams have met four times in the playoffs, with Dallas winning the 1992 and 1995 divisional games and the 2009 wild-card game after losing the 1980 NFC Championship Game. Dallas’s 30-11 win over Philadelphia in the 1995 divisional round led to the team’s most recent NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl appearances.
Getting to AT&T Stadium
AT&T Stadium is in Arlington’s Entertainment District, roughly midway between downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth and about 10 miles south of DFW Airport. Arlington has no rail service to the stadium, so nearly everyone arrives by car or rideshare. Lots generally open about five hours before Cowboys games (10:30 AM CT for this one), and you can buy parking in advance through the stadium’s official parking page. Where to Sit
For football, sideline seats in the 200 and 300 levels give the best balance of view and price: high enough to see plays develop, low enough to feel the crowd. The 100 level is the closest seated ring, the 400 level and the standing-room areas are the budget way in, and thanks to the stadium’s two huge arches there are no interior columns blocking the view. Bags are limited to clear totes up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″, one-gallon clear bags or small clutches.

The Arlington Entertainment District is the simplest base: the stadium, Globe Life Field and Texas Live! are all within walking distance of each other, so you can walk to the game and skip the parking and rideshare queues. Loews Arlington Hotel sits inside Texas Live! and is the closest full-service option, and options such as the Drury Plaza Hotel Dallas Arlington trade a short drive for lower prices. For more nightlife and dining, downtown Fort Worth and downtown Dallas (where the Omni Dallas Hotel is a popular base) are each roughly 20-30 minutes away by car.
