Foo Fighters and the Take Cover Tour
Foo Fighters were formed by Dave Grohl in 1994 and are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Songs like “Everlong”, “The Pretender”, “Best of You”, “Learn to Fly” and “Times Like These” have made them one of the biggest live rock acts in the world, and their shows are known for running long and loud. The Take Cover Tour is the band’s 15th visit to Australia, with licensed all-ages stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand. The line-up listed for the tour is Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin.
After Brisbane the tour plays Townsville on 7 November, Sydney on 10 November, Newcastle on 12 November, Melbourne on 14 November and Adelaide on 17 November. It returns in January 2027 with Christchurch on 19 January, Auckland on 22 January and Perth on 25 January.
Tickets
Suncorp Stadium lists AXS as the only authorised ticketing agent for this show, and the promoter’s listing showed face-value prices from A$99.90 to A$249.90 including GST, depending on the standing or reserve section, with booking and delivery fees on top. If the face-value seats you want have gone, resale marketplaces such as Hello Tickets and Ticombo list tickets for the Brisbane show. Resale prices are set by sellers and can sit above or below face value, so compare sections and fees before you buy.

The venue: Suncorp Stadium
Suncorp Stadium is at 40 Castlemaine Street in Milton, close to the Brisbane city centre. It is home to the Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Reds and has a capacity of more than 52,500. It is an open-air stadium with a fully covered seating bowl, so it is one of Australia’s more comfortable big-concert venues.
The show is licensed all ages. The promoter recommends it for ages 5 and over, children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and the general admission standing areas are recommended for ages 15 and over. Gates and set times were not listed at the time of writing, so check the stadium’s official event page and conditions of entry for bag rules and entry times before you go.
Robbie Williams plays the same stadium on 20 November, if you are planning a longer trip: see our Robbie Williams Brisbane guide.
Where to sit: seat map
For this show the stage sits at the left-hand end of the map. The floor is all standing, split into GA1 closest to the stage and GA2 behind it, and the stadium’s stands form rings around the outside. The map below shows how it fits together.

- GA1: standing, closest to the stage.
- GA2: standing, behind GA1 with a little more room.
- 300s (sections 301 to 340): the lower stand ring right around the field. Sections 309 to 313 face the stage head-on from the far end, while the top and bottom rows are side-on at midfield.
- 500s (sections 506 to 536): the middle level, along the top, both ends and the corners.
- 600s (sections 601 to 604 and 638 to 640): upper-level seats along the bottom side of the map only.
- 700s (sections 704 to 738): the highest level, along the opposite side, both ends and the corners.
- Stage-end sections: sections 329 to 337 sit beside the stage, so expect a side-on view.
If you are choosing between standing and seats, think about how you like to watch a show. The floor puts you close to the stage and in the middle of the crowd, while a seat in the stands gives you a raised, more comfortable view of the whole production.
Getting there and getting around
Flights
Brisbane Airport is the main gateway, and the Airtrain connects it to the city and the train network. Most international visitors need an Australian visa or electronic travel authority before flying, so confirm entry requirements on the official government site.
To the stadium
- Train: Milton station is about 700 metres from the stadium and Roma Street station is about 1 km away. Regular services run to both, and the stadium says extra services are added after events.
- Bus: regular Brisbane City Council buses run to the area, and special event shuttles have run direct to the stadium from the city and suburbs. Check TransLink for whether shuttles are scheduled for this show.
- Free travel: the stadium says a game-day ticket gives free travel on Queensland Rail City Network trains (excluding Airtrain) and Transport for Brisbane buses from four hours before to four hours after the event. Check the TransLink event page to see whether this applies to the concert.
- Driving: the stadium’s event page says its High Traffic Management Plan begins at 4:30pm, and a rideshare geofence applies from 10:10pm to 11:30pm. Parking restrictions apply in the Lang Park traffic area on event days, so plan to use public transport if you can.
Plan your journey home before the show, and check the TransLink journey planner for the latest services and any trackwork.
Where to stay
The most convenient bases are Milton, Paddington and the city centre, close to the stadium, or South Bank, which is across the river but well connected and handy for the riverside attractions. Concert nights push prices up, so book early and choose a flexible rate if you can.
Suggested hotel: Emporium Hotel South Bank
Emporium Hotel South Bank is a boutique hotel near Southbank station, about a two-minute walk from South Bank Parklands. It has river-view rooms and suites, a rooftop infinity pool with views of the parklands, the river and the city, a cocktail bar and 24-hour in-room dining. It suits a longer trip where the hotel is part of the experience. You will need a short train or bus ride to reach the stadium, so check the TransLink planner for your route.

Check AvailabilityThings to do in Brisbane
If you are travelling for the show, add a day or two. Brisbane is warm and relaxed in November, with the river, South Bank and some of Australia’s best wildlife experiences close by.
Brisbane River cruise and koala sanctuary
This 5.5-hour trip combines a Brisbane River cruise with a visit to a koala sanctuary, so it is a good way to see the river and the wildlife in one go. It fits the daytime before an evening show.
Australia Zoo day trip
This day trip includes the transfer from Brisbane and entry to Australia Zoo, and it takes around nine hours. It works best the day before or after the show rather than on show day.
Moreton Island day trip
Moreton Island is a popular full-day escape from Brisbane. Check the available dates and start times for your trip in the widget below, and plan it for the day before or after the show.
Practical tips for fans
- Arrive early. Entry queues take longer on a big stadium night, and a Thursday show means the trains and buses will be busy after work.
- Check Suncorp Stadium’s conditions of entry and bag policy before you leave your hotel, and look for confirmed gates and set times closer to the date.
- Plan your ride home in advance, and check TransLink for event services and disruptions.
- November is late spring in Queensland and it can be hot and humid, so pack sun protection, water and a light layer for the evening.
- If you are standing, think about comfortable shoes and ear protection, as stadium rock shows are loud.
- Only buy tickets from sellers you trust, and compare resale prices against face value.
