Foo Fighters and the Take Cover Tour

Foo Fighters were formed by Dave Grohl in 1994 and are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Songs like “Everlong”, “The Pretender”, “Best of You”, “Learn to Fly” and “Times Like These” have made them one of the biggest live rock acts in the world, and Accor Stadium’s event page promises a show of career-spanning hits. The Take Cover Tour is the band’s 15th visit to Australia, with licensed all-ages stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand.

After Sydney the tour plays Newcastle on 12 November, Melbourne on 14 November and Adelaide on 17 November. It returns in January 2027 with Christchurch on 19 January, Auckland on 22 January and Perth on 25 January.

Tickets

Tickets for the Australian shows went on sale in late February, and AXS is the authorised ticketing agent for the Sydney show. Official hospitality packages were also listed on the stadium’s event page. If the face-value seats you want have gone, resale marketplaces such as Hello Tickets and Ticombo list tickets for Foo Fighters. Resale prices are set by sellers and can sit above or below face value, so compare sections and fees before you buy.

Check live availability for Foo Fighters at Accor Stadium on 10 November 2026.

Tip: the Hello Tickets button opens the full list of Foo Fighters dates, so look for the Sydney show on 10 November. Ticombo’s listing is specific to Accor Stadium, and resale stock changes quickly, so check back if it looks empty.

The venue: Accor Stadium

Accor Stadium is the main stadium at Sydney Olympic Park, in Homebush, about 14 km west of the city centre. Built for the 2000 Olympics, it holds around 80,000 people for big events and hosts major rugby league, football and concert nights. It is an open-air stadium, so pack for the weather.

The stadium is inside the Olympic Park precinct, next to Olympic Park railway station, so most fans reach it by train rather than on foot from the city. The tour is listed as licensed all ages, but check the stadium’s official site for age guidelines, bag rules, entry times and standing-area information before the show.

Where to sit

For this show the floor is sold as General Admission standing, split into GA Front and GA Rear, with reserved seating in the stands. The stage sits at one end of the field with a narrow runway reaching out into GA Front, and the stands curve around the floor on three sides. The map below shows how the stadium fits together.

Illustrated seating guide for Foo Fighters at Accor Stadium, Sydney, showing the stage and runway, GA Front and GA Rear standing, and the 100, 300, 400 and 600 levels
  • GA Front: standing, closest to the stage and runway.
  • GA Rear: standing, set back behind GA Front.
  • Level 100: the lower bowl around the field, with inner (-1) and outer (-2) sections.
  • Level 300: the block at the far end of the stadium, facing the stage.
  • Level 400: mid-level sections along the sides.
  • Level 600: the outermost sections along the sides, the highest and furthest seats.

If you are choosing between standing and seated, think about how you like to watch a show. Standing puts you closer but on your feet for the whole night, while a seat in the stands gives you a raised, more comfortable view of the stage.

Getting there and getting around

Flights

Sydney Airport (Kingsford Smith) is the main gateway, and it connects to the city by train. Most international visitors need an Australian visa or electronic travel authority before flying, so confirm entry requirements on the official government site.

To the stadium

  • Train: Olympic Park station is inside the precinct, a short walk from the stadium. Trains run regularly between Lidcombe and Olympic Park, and Transport for NSW adds extra and express trains for major events. Use the Trip Planner on the Transport for NSW site or app for your journey.
  • Bus: regular routes 525, 526 and 533 serve the precinct, and special event buses run from areas across Sydney when a big event is scheduled. Check the events page for this show.
  • Ferry: the nearest wharf is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf, about a 40-minute walk from the stadium, with the route 526 bus connecting to the venue. Ferries can reach capacity on busy event days.
  • Driving: on-site parking is close to the venue, but casual parking is very limited at major events. Pre-booking is available until 11:59pm the night before, and a flat fee applies on select event days.
  • Taxi and rideshare: taxi ranks are on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman hotel. Road closures can slow pick-ups, so allow extra time.

The stadium is too far from the CBD to walk, so plan your journey home before the show. Trains and buses are busiest straight after the last song, and waiting a short while before you leave can make the queue easier.

Where to stay

The most convenient bases are Sydney Olympic Park and Homebush, right next to the stadium, or the CBD, Darling Harbour and Pyrmont, which have a wider choice of hotels, restaurants and sights and a train or event-bus ride to the show. Concert nights push prices up, so book early and choose a flexible rate if you can.

Suggested hotel: The Darling at The Star

The Darling is a 5-star hotel within The Star Sydney in Pyrmont, near Darling Harbour. It has 114 rooms and suites, a 25-metre heated pool, a spa and access to the resort’s restaurants. A light rail station sits beneath the hotel, with links to Darling Harbour and the city, so you can connect to the trains for the stadium. It suits a longer trip where the hotel is part of the experience.

The Blue Mountains are the classic day trip from Sydney. This tour includes a waterfall walk and lunch. It takes most of a day, so it works best the day before or after the show rather than on show day.

Practical tips for fans

  • Arrive early. Entry queues take longer on a big stadium night, and a Tuesday show means the trains will be busy straight after work.
  • Check Accor Stadium’s bag policy, age guidelines and entry details before you leave your hotel, and look for confirmed gates and set times closer to the date.
  • Plan your ride home in advance, and check the Transport for NSW app for event services and disruptions.
  • November is late spring in Sydney, and the stadium is open-air, so pack sun protection and a light layer for the evening.
  • If you are standing, think about comfortable shoes and ear protection, as stadium rock shows are loud.
  • Only buy tickets from sellers you trust, and compare resale prices against face value.
