Why see PSG at the Parc des Princes
The Parc des Princes opened in 1972 and sits in Paris’s 16th arrondissement, close to Roland-Garros and the Bois de Boulogne. It holds about 48,000, which keeps the stands close to the pitch, and the supporters behind each goal turn match nights into a show of banners, flags and non-stop singing.
Paris Saint-Germain were founded in 1970 and have won a record 14 Ligue 1 titles, most recently in 2025/26. They are also back-to-back European champions, having beaten Arsenal on penalties in the 2026 Champions League final, so even a routine league night brings some of the best players in world football to the capital.
This season’s home calendar has plenty to plan a trip around. Roma visit on Wednesday, November 25 and Galatasaray on Wednesday, January 27 in the Champions League. The Paris derby against Paris FC is on Saturday, December 12, Lens visit on Sunday, February 28, and Le Classique against Marseille on Sunday, February 7 is the biggest fixture on the French calendar.
PSG tickets
Most Parc des Princes seats go to club members before any tickets reach general sale, and home games sell out almost every week. That makes resale marketplaces the practical route for visitors, so compare prices for your date before you buy.

Where to sit
The Parc des Princes has four stands. Tribune Paris and Tribune Borelli run along the long sides of the pitch, with lower and upper levels. Auteuil and Boulogne sit behind the goals, and the loudest, most colourful support is concentrated in those end stands.
Longside seats give the best view of the whole pitch and are the most expensive. Shortside seats cost less and put you closer to the atmosphere. Away fans are placed in a separate section, so check which stand your ticket is for before you buy.
Getting there
The stadium is served by two metro stops. Line 9 runs to Porte de Saint-Cloud and Line 10 to Porte d’Auteuil, and both are a short walk from the gates. Buses 22, 62 and 72 stop at Porte de Saint-Cloud, and buses 32 and 52 stop at Porte d’Auteuil.
Driving is not recommended on match nights, as the area around the périphérique is busy. Allow extra time on arrival, as there are security checks at the entrance, and the metro is busy after the final whistle, so a short wait or a walk to a quieter station helps.
Where to stay
Central Paris is the best base for a match weekend, with a direct metro link to the stadium and the city’s main sights close by. The area around Place Vendôme and the Opéra puts shops, restaurants and the Tuileries Garden within a short walk.
Suggested hotel: Hôtel Mansart – Esprit de France
Hôtel Mansart is at 5 rue des Capucines, on the corner of Place Vendôme and about a five-minute walk from the Tuileries Garden and the Opéra Garnier. The Opéra metro station is around 350 metres away, and Line 9 from Havre-Caumartin, also a short walk, runs to Porte de Saint-Cloud for the stadium.

Check availabilityThings to do in Paris
A match weekend leaves time for Paris’s big sights. The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower both sell out, so reserve a time slot in advance.
Louvre Museum guided tour
The Louvre is the world’s most visited museum and too big to see without a plan. A guided priority-access tour takes you to the highlights, including the Mona Lisa, without the longest queues.
Eiffel Tower summit access
Reserved elevator access to the second floor and the summit gives the best views over the city, and a timed ticket saves waiting at the base.
Day trip to Versailles
If you are staying a few days around a match, the Palace of Versailles is the classic day out from Paris. A guided tour from the city handles the transport and the queues. Check opening days when you plan your trip, as the palace is closed on Mondays.

A guided visit to the Palace of Versailles and its gardens, departing from Paris.

- Take the metro rather than a car, and arrive early for the security checks at the gates.
- Saturday and Sunday games leave more of the weekend free for sightseeing, while midweek European nights suit a short two-night stay.
