Foo Fighters and the Take Cover Tour

Foo Fighters were formed by Dave Grohl in 1994 and are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Songs like “Everlong”, “The Pretender”, “Best of You”, “Learn to Fly” and “Times Like These” have made them one of the biggest live rock acts in the world. The Take Cover Tour is the band’s 15th visit to Australia, with licensed all-ages stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand.

Adelaide is the last Australian date of 2026. The tour returns in January 2027 with Christchurch on 19 January, Auckland on 22 January and Perth on 25 January.

Tickets

Tickets for the Australian shows went on sale in late February, and Coopers Stadium lists AXS as its official ticket seller for the Adelaide show. Start there for face-value seats. If you are looking for something that has sold out, resale marketplaces such as Hello Tickets and Ticombo list tickets for Foo Fighters, but resale prices are set by sellers and can sit above or below face value, so compare sections and fees before you buy.

Check live availability for Foo Fighters at Coopers Stadium on 17 November 2026.

Tip: the Hello Tickets button opens the full list of Foo Fighters dates, so look for the Adelaide show on 17 November. Ticombo’s listing is specific to Coopers Stadium, and resale stock changes quickly, so check back if it looks empty.

The venue: Coopers Stadium

Coopers Stadium is on Holden Street in Hindmarsh, a few kilometres west of the Adelaide city centre. It is the home of Adelaide United and hosts concerts with a capacity of up to 26,000, so it is a more intimate stadium night than the big grounds in Sydney and Melbourne. It is an open-air stadium, so pack for the weather.

The stadium sits next to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, which is useful for getting there by tram and for parking. The tour is listed as licensed all ages, but check the stadium’s event page and conditions of entry for age guidelines, bag rules and gate times closer to the date.

Where to sit

For this show the stadium lists Front General Admission standing and Rear General Admission standing on the field, plus reserved seating in four price categories, A to D. The stage sits at one end of the field with a narrow runway reaching out into GA Front, and the stands are named by letter around the field. The map below shows how the stadium fits together.

Illustrated seating guide for Foo Fighters at Coopers Stadium, Adelaide, showing the stage and runway, GA Front and GA Rear standing, and the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western stands
  • GA Front: standing on the field, closest to the stage and runway.
  • GA Rear: standing on the field, set back behind GA Front.
  • Eastern stand (E): reserved seats along one side of the field.
  • Northern stand (N): reserved seats at the far end, opposite the stage.
  • Southern stand (S): reserved seats beside the stage.
  • Western stand (WL and WU): reserved seats along the opposite side of the field, with an upper row set back and higher up.

If you are choosing between standing and seated, think about how you like to watch a show. Standing puts you closer but on your feet for the whole night, while a reserved seat gives you a raised, more comfortable view of the stage.

Getting there and getting around

Flights

Adelaide Airport (ADL) is a short drive or taxi ride from the city centre. Most international visitors need an Australian visa or electronic travel authority before flying, so confirm entry requirements on the official government site.

To the stadium

  • Tram: the closest stop is in front of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, about 300m from the stadium. The stadium says tram services between the city and the precinct are free, so check Adelaide Metro for event-day timetables.
  • Train: Bowden station is about 400m from the stadium.
  • Bus: several stops are within about 300m, and routes 115, 150 and 157 pass directly by the stadium.
  • Driving: there is no public parking at Coopers Stadium. The closest option is the Adelaide Entertainment Centre car park, about 300m away with more than 1,400 spaces, though it may be unavailable if there is a major concert at the Entertainment Centre. Check the stadium’s parking information before you go.
  • Taxi and rideshare: the closest taxi rank is at the corner of Manton Street and Hindmarsh Place. Expect road closures around the stadium after the show, and agree a pick-up point a short walk away.

The stadium has several entrances, including the main entrance off Manton Street and a Holden Street entrance, so check your ticket for the entrance you should use.

Where to stay

The easiest base is the Adelaide city centre, which has the widest choice of hotels along North Terrace, around Rundle Mall and near the Adelaide Convention Centre, with trams and trains running out towards Hindmarsh and Bowden. Concert nights push prices up, so book early and choose a flexible rate if you can.

Suggested hotel: Oval Hotel at Adelaide Oval

The Oval Hotel is built into Adelaide Oval, on the banks of the River Torrens in North Adelaide, close to the city centre. It is not next to Coopers Stadium, so plan to travel by tram, train or taxi on show night, but it works well as a comfortable city base and puts you close to the riverside and the CBD. Check the room types on the booking page for the views available.

Things to do in Adelaide

If you are travelling for the show, add a day or two. Adelaide is compact and easy to get around, and it works well for a relaxed few days around a stadium night.

River Torrens sightseeing cruise

A 45-minute Popeye cruise on the River Torrens, with commentary along the way. It suits the daytime before the show, when you want something low-effort.

McLaren Vale and Glenelg half-day tour

A half-day small-group tour of around five and a half hours that combines McLaren Vale wine tasting with time on the Glenelg seafront. It fits into a morning or afternoon without taking up the whole day.

Barossa Valley wine day trip

The Barossa is the best-known of the wine regions around Adelaide. This day trip runs for around eight hours with several tastings, a lunch stop and a chocolate pairing, so it works best the day after the show rather than on show day.

Practical tips for fans

  • Arrive early. Entry queues take longer on a big stadium night, and a Tuesday show means the trams and trains will be busy after work.
  • Check Coopers Stadium’s bag policy, entry gate and age guidelines before you leave your hotel, and look for confirmed gate times closer to the date.
  • Do not plan on parking at the stadium. Use the tram, train or bus, or agree a taxi pick-up point away from the closed roads.
  • November is late spring in South Australia, so expect warm days and cooler evenings. A light layer is worth packing.
  • If you are standing, think about comfortable shoes and ear protection, as stadium rock shows are loud.
  • Coopers Stadium lists AXS as its official ticket seller. Compare resale prices against face value, and only buy from sellers you trust.
